Greetings!
It
feels like spring has finally sprung, here in our corner of
central Iowa. We're looking forward to long summer days of planting
and harvesting! Meanwhile, we're having fun making new products,
and constructing our Prairieland Herbs Learning Center, as time
and weather allow. We look forward to having our own classroom
so we can learn and share lots of new things with our local
customers.

Your Pooch with Aromatherapy Shampoos |

Our dogs, all 5 of 'em, just love Karla (our soapmaker).
She drives up in her big red truck and they get all wiggly
and happy and whine to see her! She loves dogs too, and
has used her skills to create a wonderful doggie shampoo.
In fact, it was so popular, she's created more, and now
we have a wonderful line of her natural, aromatherapy doggie
shampoos!
These
shampoo bars are absolutely fabulous. They make make Fido's
coat silky and shiny, and keep their sensitive canine
skin in great health. Many dogs with sensitive skin or
skin allergies have had great results with these natural
shampoos. And best of all, the Original and Studly Dog
Shampoos are both loaded with essential oils that naturally
help repel fleas and ticks!
And,
boy, do they WORK! We recently had a chance to give them
a true test when Lexi, our smallest (but perhaps most

| Patchouli
- love it or hate it, it's got great benefits! |

Ah, patchouli! The scent that people either love, or hate.
People that like it say it's earthy, sensual, rich, musky.
People that dislike it think it smells, dirty, dusy, earthy,
or like dirty socks! So we recommend never buying a patchouli
gift item for someone unless you *know* they like patchouli.
If you know they like it, however, then stock up! Our patchouli
fans are a devoted, lively bunch!
Regardless
of your feelings about the fragrance, patchouli essential
oil has many wonderful properties. It's a very gentle
oil, excellent for dry or mature skins, and also wonderful
for dry hair. Patchouli essential oil is a tissue regenerator,
and a gentle antiseptic. Patchouli oil is a natural antidepressant,
and is wonderfully soothing and mentally uplifting. Finally,
patchouli is said to help promote psychic awareness, and
to help clarify your thoughts.
Patchouli
oil is a famous aphrodesiac, often found in romantic or
sensual blends, especially when mixed with rose, jasmine,
or ylang-ylang oils. One of our customers (Hi Mayra!)
recently had us concoct a special sensual blend of Patchouli,
Ylang-Ylang, and Vanilla - with great success!!! *laughs*
To spice up your life, take a romantic patchouli bubble
bath, or spray your sheets with some patchouli mist. Who
knows what may happen?
For
those of you who want to mix your own scent blends, or
who want the benefits of the oil without the strong scent,
patchouli blends very well with many other oils. For an
uplifting blend, try blending patchouli with mint or orange.
For a romantic blend, add ylang-ylang, jasmine, or rose.
For a fresh or warm blend, add clary sage, vanilla, or
lavender. Add a few drops of your special blend to an
unscented lotion, to your bath water, or mix with some
light vegetable oil to create a bath, body or massage
oil.

& Glow with New Glimmer Powder |

We teach lots of classes on how to make natural herbal bath
and body products, and we were suprised by how many people
loved the "shimmery body powder" we made in our classes!
Young and old alike had a great time making and wearing
these naturally shimmery body powders. So we thought we'd
share the fun with the rest of our customers!
Micas
are all-natural, subtly shiny pigments. They add a beautiful
shimmer and sheen to your skin. We add colored micas to
our basic body powder formula of arrowroot powder, baking
soda, and fragrances, to create these silky, shimmery
body powders.
"Golden
Glow" has a light floral fragrance and a subtle golden,
well, glow. "Sheer Shimmer" has a light fresh cucumber
melon fragrance and a lovely light silvery glow. Apply
them to your arms, neck, shoulders, or wherever you'd
like to shine!
Glimmer
Powders come in a 3 oz. plastic shaker tube. Simply shake
a small amount onto your hand or a powder puff, and apply!
People of all ages will enjoy these fun powders. If you
know someone that really likes to shine, pair one of these
