Nov. 3 Homemade Mozzarella cheese! $45, 1-3 PM Did you know you could make cheese at home in as little as 30 minutes? Let me show you how with easy to obtain grocery store items. And we are using the best milk available ... Picket Fence milk! I will demonstrate and you will take home mozzarella cheese that you made yourself. It's a great way to spend an afternoon!! Nov. 10 - Relieve your pie anxiety!! - $40 1-3 PM You will learn the skill of how to render lard, make great crust, seasonal fruit and meat filling, pie lore plus so much more! Each student will finish class with a pie hot from the oven or ready to bake at home, bag of lard to render at home, a rendered pint of lard ready to cook with, and a recipe book. Please bring: Your favorite apron, 8”- 9” pie pan, BIG mixing bowl and a spoon (something you can comfortably get both hands in, at least 6 qt), a rolling pin, a box or basket to take your just baked pie home...and a smile, that’s the most important thing! Taught by Danelle Stamps.

Nov. 17 , Soapmking 101 - $60 1-3 PM Want to learn to make cold-process soap? Karla Moore, of Heart of Iowa Soapworks, will teach the art and craft of old-fashioned soapmaking in this class. Lye safety will be emphasized. You will make and take home your own custom-scented 2 lb. batch of cold-process soap. Please note that you should wear old clothes, and that for safety reasons, the class will be strictly limited to six participants.

The fine print: We will not charge your credit or debit card until the day of the class, but we do request that you pre-register via phone, internet or in the store. If you are unable to attend a class you have registered for, please give us 48 hours notice, otherwise we will need to charge your card as normal.
